The bilingual French-English daycare and preschool program offers bright, clean classrooms within a beautiful landscaped residential campus. Kids enjoy private outdoor play areas on both the Newton and Lincoln campuses. The facilities provide an inviting environment for children to flourish in a nurturing setting. Classrooms offer carefully selected learning materials, specialized play areas, computer tables, art stations, and more. The school’s library features an extensive collection of both French and English children’s books.
Philosophy
The Teddy Bear Club incorporates core principles of American preschool programs with aspects of French educational programs. They deliver social development-oriented experiences and instill confidence and self-esteem in students while building a solid foundation for future academic success. A fundamental aspect of the program is to introduce the French language.
Programs
The Teddy Bear Club follows a regular school calendar year, offering three hour sessions in the morning and in the afternoon. Students apply for either the morning or afternoon session. There is an extended day option for students aged 3.6+ who are enrolled in the morning session to stay until 4:15pm.
Teachers
The staff consist of early childhood professionals with academic training. Teachers are nurturing, enthusiastic, and long-tenured. All faculty members are bilingual and speak both English and French to the children throughout the school day.
Enrollment
Applicants must be at least 1 year and 9 months of age as of September 1st of the year enrolled. The school encourages parents and caregivers to take a tour of their preferred campus prior to applying.
