Newton School for Children, a preschool for children aged 15 months to 5 years, has been educating children for over 30 years. The school encourages active parent involvement such as sharing family traditions, reading stories, or introducing unique skills and talents to the children.
Families may register for 2, 3, or 5 days per week. The program runs throughout the academic year and a summer option is available to extend care to twelve months.
Curriculum
Learning is based on exploring, questioning and problem solving. The curriculum incorporates The Creative Curriculum, which includes language arts, math, science, art, cooking and music. Enrichment activities include computer class, science experiences, movement, gymnastics and Spanish.
Philosophy
All families are welcome and respected. Several children for whom English is not their first language are enrolled each year. Well trained teachers seize this opportunity to educate children about other cultures, traditions and celebrations.
