Frances Jacobson Early Childhood Center at Temple Israel Boston (FJECC) provides education in both secular and Judaic studies for children aged 1.9 – 5 years. Children learn about their physical, intellectual, social and emotional selves, their language, and their world.
Curriculum
- Secular Curriculum – All areas of learning, including language arts, STEM, music, and art are integrated into the students’ daily experience.
- Judaic Curriculum – FJECC integrates Judaics into the daily routine and learning to establish the building blocks of childrens’ Jewish identity and provide them with an awareness of their Jewish heritage.
Hours and Extended Day
FJECC follows the Brookline Public Schools calendar. The standard daily class program runs from 9:00am – 1:00pm.
The Extended Day Program offers greater flexibility with early morning drop off at 8:00am and an afternoon program from 1:00pm – 3:00pm.
In addition, FJECC offers an Enriched Stay & Play program from 3:00pm – 5:30pm.
