The Framingham Centre Nursery School offers a high quality nature-focused program for children aged 2 through 5 years. The curriculum encourages each child’s individual growth through socialization and hands-on experiences in a nurturing and safe environment. Students are outside about 50% or more of each day, weather permitting.
The average teacher to student ratio is 2:9. The facility houses a total of 7 classrooms, a large fenced in playground and 5 acres of woodlands. Both indoor and outdoor activities are conducted, depending on the time of year. One PreK class is nature-based whereby students spend 90% of their day outside, utilizing an outdoor classroom in the woods.
Philosophy
The school operates with the belief that children learn best through play. Children have opportunities to practice conflict resolution, cooperation and empathy. They develop social and cognitive skills, mature emotionally, and gain self confidence.
