Cambridge Friends School is an independent day school that provides education guided by Quaker principles for students in pre-K through grade 8. Young students are encouraged to be adventurers, anthropologists, and scientists. The early childhood program is designed to help kids learn through multiple channels, including self-directed play, social interactions, observation, listening, and experimentation.
The experiential program allows young children to learn classroom routines while expanding their curiosity. Pre-Kindergarten students engage in high-energy play as well as developmentally appropriate structured school expectations, such as sitting for class meetings and performing classroom jobs.
Mission
Guided by Quaker Principles, Cambridge Friends School engages students in meaningful academic learning within a caring community strongly committed to social justice. All students develop their intellectual, physical, creative, and spiritual potential, and through the example of their lives, challenge oppression and contribute to justice and understanding in the world.
