The Hive connects campers aged 5-12+ with deCordova’s 30-acre Sculpture Park and Museum exhibitions. Kids explore real world ideas, unbounded creativity, and inspiring innovation. The five week-long theme-based sessions spark imaginations. Summer campers make their own amazing art projects. Each week culminates with campers designing and constructing an ambitious sculpture installation in the Park.
A week at The Hive is more than art making. It fosters communication, problem solving, and teamwork. Kids forge new friendships and build individual confidence. STEM/STEAM concepts are embedded throughout the camp. The interdisciplinary immersion relates to real world problem solving.
Summer Studio for Teens
Designed for kids aged 13+, the Summer Studio for Teens offers week-long afternoon programs. Participants will develop innovative and creative thinking while exploring art making techniques. Individual and collaborative projects are fueled by arts in the deCordova Park and Museum.
