Summerfuel’s Pre-College Programs provide an opportunity for participants to prepare intellectually and socially for college life through seminars, workshops, and hands-on courses. The resident program is designed for students completing grades 9-12 and includes tuition, housing, residential care and daily activities. Students prepare for a successful high school to college transition and to balance academic, social and extracurricular commitments. They are better prepared to make the most of their college experience.
Summerfuel is headquartered in New York. They offer an extensive range of programs at various colleges and universities. The Massachusetts program is located at Tufts University.
Summer Program at Tufts University
The Summerfuel program at Tufts offers an exciting opportunity for high school students to experience college life on the campus of a top-ranked US university. Courses are structured to encourage hands-on participation, while activities are customized based on student interests. Learning is inspiring and interactive with courses designed to reflect the strengths of the university and the greater Boston area. The schedule incorporates field trips, expert speakers, and hands-on learning opportunities that together foster the student’s abilities to think critically and independently.

The staff consist of accomplished and passionate faculty recruited from many area colleges, universities and professional forums.
Nutrition
Three meals per day are included in the program fee.
Other Information
The summer schedule runs from June to July. Program fees include tuition, room, daily meals, use of select campus facilities, excursions and activities, bed linens, pillow and towels, 24-hour residential care and support, and staff-accompanied airport transfers.
