MIT Summer Day Camp has been operating since 1960. Campers are welcome beginning at the age of 6 up to age 13. The camp runs through the summer from late June to August.
Activities
Campers will participate in a number of activities, including tennis, kickball, floor hockey, wiffleball, capture the flag, badminton, soccer, dance, dodgeball, and free swim, among many others. For campers who have completed a swim and/or boat test, they may also engage in sailing, water polo, diving, or the junior lifeguard program. Swimming activities take place in the aquatics center and are supervised by American Red Cross certified lifeguards.
Staff
As a member of the Massachusetts Camp Association, MIT hires qualified staff who share in the mission to value diversity and develop social, physical, personal and life skills. Those aged 14-16 may apply for the counselor-in-training program.
Nutrition
Campers should pack their own lunch daily. Alternatively, Smart Lunch delivery is available.
