Credit: Middlesex School Summer Arts
The Middlesex School Summer Arts Program, founded in 1986, provides an environment for young people in grades 1-11 to pursue and develop their interests in the arts. The program offers over 100 courses in art, dance, drama, technical theater, gymnastics, music, video production, writing, photography, textiles, and other fields.
The program is adapted by special arrangement with the Charles River Creative Arts Program. Campers may register for a two-week session, a three-week session or for all five weeks.
Programs
- Junior Arts for young artists in grades 1-2 offers a sampling of performing arts, visual art and recreation. The supervised program enables children to experience something new in a safe and nurturing environment.
- Creative Arts is a multi-arts immersion program for students in grades 3-11. A variety of classes in visual arts, theatre, technical theatre, music, and digital media, as well as a multiple full-scale theatrical productions.
- Apprentice Program for students entering 11th grade allows artists to choose and specialize in one particular area of the arts while continuing to participate in the full array of classes.
Lunch
Daily lunch is included in tuition and offered by Flik Food Service.
Extended Hours
An extended day is available to campers during the afternoon.
Transportation
Transportation is available from Lexington, Harvard, Acton, Sudbury, Weston and Lincoln.
Financial Assistance
Limited financial aid may be available to families.
