Detailed Information
Edge on Science offers various week-long STEM day programs for kids entering grades 5 – 9. These programs fuel children’s interests in applied science and engineering. The classes include specific topics such as Drone & Clone and Catapult Engineering. No previous coding experience is required; however, kids who do have coding experience will find challenges that meet their skill level.
Sample Program Curriculum
- Drone & Clone. Students will learn about sensors and electronic modules on drones and controllers. Using C++ coding, campers will tackle flight challenges, hands-on testing, and trials. They gain critical thinking and teamwork while enjoying fun activities each day.
- Catapult Engineering. Children will learn to read and follow engineering plans to build an outdoor trebuchet within a year. Students learn engineering and construction principles and work with various hand tools.
Additional Locations
Edge on Science also offers programs at Regis College in Weston, Endicott College in Beverly, and the Plymouth Public Library.
Extended Hours
Optional extended care is available on a weekly basis for an additional fee.
