The Coastal Ocean Science Academy (COSA) is a marine and environmental science summer day program that connects students in grades 6-12 to local coastal habitats. Camp participants explore the shore and tidepools, meet scientists, tour science labs, and visit habitat field sites.

Activities
Students study marine habitats along the coastal wetlands. This is a field-based program that introduces research skills, including measurements of water, weather, and biodiversity.
Location
The ocean science program takes place at Northeastern University’s Marine Science Center in Nahant.
Financial Assistance
A limited number of full and partial scholarships may be available. Preference is given to students eligible for free or reduced lunch or whose family meets income eligibility levels based on federal guidelines.
Other Information
Fees include all equipment, student materials, instruction, and a package lunch.
