Camp Watitoh is a family-oriented overnight summer camp in the heart of the Berkshire Mountains on Center Lake. The full camp season is 50 days and the majority of campers attend for the full seven weeks. There is also a four-week program and a three-week program. The camp offers kids a plethora of activities in a safe and supportive environment.
The athletic and water sports programs features a number of sports, including basketball, field hockey, gymnastics, water skiing, canoeing, sailing, and many more. Golf and horseback riding are available for an additional fee. The adventure program includes archery, ropes course, nature exploration, hiking and overnight camping. Campers also enjoy creative and performing arts, evening activities, and special trips.
Jewish Celebrations
Camp Watitoh is not religiously affiliated; however, the Jewish tradition of Shabbat, the Sabbath, is celebrated on Friday nights. At dinner, campers recite the blessings over candles, wine, and challah, and enjoy dinner as a camp family.
Meals
The entire camp eats meals together, fostering a close community and family-feeling. Meals are prepared onsite from scratch. Fresh fruits and salads are served daily. In-house bakers makes all rolls, buns, and breads. No peanut or nut products are used or served.
Transportation
Chartered bus transportation is available for campers traveling from New York metropolitan area, Montreal and nearby airports.
Tuition
Tuition includes transportation from designated locations, canteen, basic sundries, laundry, and most regularly scheduled field trips.
