Camp Hilltop, founded in 1924, is a co-ed overnight summer camp for kids aged 6 – 16. The camp offers two- through eight-week sessions from June through August.
With just 220 campers, Hilltop’s smaller size fosters a sense of community and creates an atmosphere for children to connect, engage, discover and learn in a nurturing environment.
First Time Campers
Hilltop offers a limited number of openings for a one-week mini camp for First Time Campers. Staff provide personal attention and guidance to help these kids settle in to the sleep away camp experience. Counselors take time to get to know each child and help them gain self-confidence and independence in a safe, fun-filled environment.
Facilities
Located on over 500 acres within a safe and secluded environment, Hilltop’s indoor and outdoor facilities support a multitude of sports, leisure activities, exploring and adventure. For example, there is a private lake, archery range, go-kart track, dance studio, batting cage, dining hall, music studio, and flying trapeze. There are also trails for biking, hiking and horse riding.
All of the cabins have full bathrooms with toilets, sinks and showers, hot and cold running water, and electricity. Campers are grouped by school grade. Beds are twin-sized bunks and include a private cubby space.
Meals
The entire camp meets at the dining hall three times daily for a modified buffet style meal. Sample menus include eggs, french toast, fruit, pizza, tacos, lasagna, BBQ and a salad bar.
