Credit: Camp Burgess & Hayward
Camp Hayward is an overnight camp for girls aged 7-16. Founded in 1928, Burgess is located on a 300 acre property along Spectacle Pond in Cape Cod, which is an approximately one hour drive south of Boston.
Program Overview
Campers engage daily in various outdoor activities. They will challenge themselves on a ropes course, learn outdoor living skills, and participate in multiple games on courts, fields and fresh water ponds.
Offering one-week and two-week sessions throughout the summer, Camp Hayward is located across the pond from Camp Burgess (the all boys camp).
Daily Activities
A typical day will include camper chosen activities, time to relax, a beach party, adventure activities, and camp spirit time. Dozens of activities are offered each day.

- Help grow food at Burgess Farm
Adventure Trips
Overnight, co-ed adventure trips, enable kids to explore various activities, including surfing, biking, or canoeing, among others. Kids develop self-confidence, form friendships, and learn new skills.

Meals
Family style meals offer a variety of choices and are served in the dining hall. The menu includes options such as eggs, bacon, waffles, pizza, sandwiches, spaghetti, mashed potatoes, vegetables, or homemade chili. In addition to the main meal, campers may also choose soup, fresh fruit or salad bar items.
All meals will include a vegetarian option and gluten free alternatives as well as rice milk and soy milk.
