The summer dance program for students aged 12-18 offers an unparalleled experience for serious-minded ballet students. Students from around the world are drawn to the Boston Ballet program to immerse themselves in a professional training environment and to develop their passion for dance.

This 5-week intensive also provides a broader dance experience through exposure to various choreography and contemporary movement. Dancers will develop and grow under the expertise of internationally-renowned faculty and guests. Students will also hear from lecturers on topics such as careers in dance, nutrition, physical therapy, among other relevant topics.

Residential Program

Students who participate in the residential program experience personal worth while forming lasting friendships. They may participate in programs at their residence hall as well as several chaperoned off-campus weekend outings. Participants in the residential program incur a higher fee, which includes a meal program and accommodation.

Auditions

Acceptance into the summer dance program is by audition only. Check the website for dates, locations and pre-registration for auditions, which are held in various cities throughout the United States.

Instructors

Students will be taught by a combination of full time Boston Ballet School faculty members and prestigious guests from major dance companies and collegiate programs.

Scholarships

A limited number of merit-based scholarships are available and awarded on a case-by-case basis.
