The Acera Summer STEAM Camp offers kids aged 4-17 with creativity-based arts and sciences day camp activities. Participants will tackle difficult, enticing programs on individual as well as group projects in works of art, designing experimental protocols, or novel engineering solutions. The STEAM projects include exciting challenges from fashion technology and physical computing to gondola building, backyard biology, and vlogging.
No testing or formal applications are required for enrollment. Students must be able to work independently and in groups settings. There are 75+ options for kids who will design, build, experiment, code, problemsolve, innovate, film, paint, compose and perform. Classes include carnival design, chess, dance, songwriting, toy making, woodworking, and many, many more.
Sessions
The summer program runs during June through August. Classes are offered during morning, afternoon or on a full day schedule.
Staff
The Acera staff consists of professionals with significant experience in the classroom and in their fields of excellence. The team includes award winners, active research scientists, and working artists.
