Suzuki School of Newton is a community arts non-profit organization that offers a Suzuki music program and an integrated arts preschool that is modeled on the Suzuki philosophy of education.
Music Classes
Suzuki offers a number of instrumental and pre-instrumental music classes for all ages, from newborn through high school students.
Suzuki Prep
From newborns to age 4, the youngest children enjoy Suzuki Prep, a pre-instrumental weekly class that builds skills through song and movement.
Early Beginners
Children aged 4-5 benefit from weekly group introductory instruments classes that prepare students for the Core Program. With a maximum of three students, the small class sizes allow for individual attention and a positive social environment.
Core Program
The majority of students are enrolled in the Core Program, which is for students aged 5+ and consists of three weekly classes: an individual lesson, a group class and a musicianship class.
- 32 individual lessons per year
- 29 teacher-led group classes with live piano accompanist each year, plus recitals and all-school concerts
- 29 musicianship classes annually, during which students will develop comprehensive musical ability through singing, listening, playing games, composing and improvising musical materials
Enrollment
Registration and tuition is dependent on the class level. Contact the Registrar at email@suzukinewton.org for more information.
Financial assistance may be available for the Core Program.
Suzuki Preschool of Newton
Suzuki also offers a preschool program for children aged 3-5.
