Planet Gymnastics offers all levels of movement and gymnastics classes for children aged 5 months and up. The gym helps to enhance each child’s fitness and self-esteem through fun and enjoyable gymnastics in a non-competitive environment. The focus is centered on each child’s individual performance within a noncompetitive environment.
The curriculum is designed to allow each child to progress with “can do” attitudes. Children learn on age-appropriate equipment, which enables greater opportunities for success while supporting the development of motor skills and confidence.
Programs
The gymnastics programs are divided by age and level with each session lasting 20 weeks. The weekly classes are 30-minutes to an hour, depending on level.
- Classes for the youngest children utilize movement, play and exploration to foster brain development, balance visualization and gross motor skills.
- PreK and Kindergarten aged students learn the foundations of gymnastics through the use of obstacle courses and preschool gymnastics equipment.
- Both girls’ only and boys’ only classes are offered. Basic gymnastics progressions classes focus on bars, beams, vault, trampoline and other apparatus. The more experienced gymnasts will develop greater training in body position, strength and flexibility.
Other Programs
- Yoga classes introduce the foundations of yoga. Children learn awareness and respect using yoga postures, breathing, games and stories.
- Ninja warrior programs offer muscle-endurance conditioning through freerunning, gymnastics tumbling and obstacle courses. This co-ed program is open to children aged 5+.
- Planet Gymnastics also offers a swim and gym camp for children aged 3 and over during school vacation breaks and throughout the summer.
