We're not thinking about moving from our current home (Massachusetts), but interested to start learning more. Which academies have you heard about are good for younger kids starting out.
where? what geographic area? you're not moving from MA then maybe check out the MAC in manchester. it's a great academy with pros from around the world last i heard.
Assuming you're open to FL - then the options are nearly endless. You can check out IMG, Evert, ProWorld... Also, there are many pros teaching at residential communities or the local parks. Honestly, the list is looooong.
Evert isn't great for the youngest just starting out. They take a few around age 8, but generally a little older. It's connected to a school so they have that benefit to offer housing to international players removed link
If you do ever consider relocating to FL, my recommendation is first find your school and house. You'll quickly realize there are dozens of options and you'll like one for a while, then as your kids progress will need to move to another anyway. I have met many families with amazing junior players winning lots of junior tournaments and none of those families have stayed at the same academy or with the same pro for more than a couple years.
Sign up for the newsletter with Nadal's Academy. They offer camps for juniors and adults throughout the year and in different locations across the US. They use other academy's facilities and bring in their coaches for a couple weeks.
No Quit in Vegas. It's an amazing group of kids and pros.
@eliotg Yes, Carson is an amazing space with lots of great pros. 120+ acres of tennis joy.
