Cold Spring Park, an approximately 60 acre public park located on Beacon Street, has a large green field, three tennis courts, soccer field, walking/jogging trails, and a Farmers’ market every Tuesday from June to November.

Hyde Community Center has a playground structure for kids and a small baseball diamond. It is located adjacent to the Hyde Community Center, which offers music and movies series in the summertime.

Newton Highlands Playground, named Joseph Lee Playground and renovated in 2017, offers nearly 13 acres of multi-use recreation, including a preschool play area, soccer fields, regulation baseball field, basketball courts, lighted football field, and tennis courts. Parking is available at the corner of Dedham Street and Upland Avenue.
