New England Chess School, founded in 2015, offers weekly summer clinics and a one month summer class. Both online and in-person options are available.
Summer Sessions
NEC offers three types of summer sessions:
- Online Summer Class – Students attend twice per week for one month. Each class is 1 hour. Classes are open to all students. The Pawn/Knight class is designed for novice players. The Bishop/Rook class is for players proficient in the game of chess.
- Online Summer Clinic – Weekly clinics are designed for students with a foundation in playing chess. Kids attend 5 times per week for 3.5 hours. This is a great fit for kids interested in intensive chess practice.
- Summer Class – Designed for kids aged 7 – 13 years who study the game of chess during the school year and want more practice throughout summer.
