Camp Netimus for Girls

Camp Netimus for Girls, founded in 1930, is a sleepaway camp for girls aged 7-16. Serving 140 campers each summer, Camp Netimus encourages girls to develop confidence, self-reliance, and independence in a safe environment.

Activities

• Equestrian program is designed for English hunt seat and dressage riders of all levels, from beginner to experienced.
• Green Program emphasizes healthy living and caring for the environment. Campers participate in organic gardening, cooking, and small animal care.
• Performing Arts helps girls gain confidence and build skills through dance, theatre, gymnastics, cheer leading and voice skills.
• Adventure & Discovery activities include outdoor cooking, mountain biking, camping, and ropes courses.
• Water Sports include swimming classes, kayaking, paddle boarding, and other activities on the lake.
• Fine Arts & Crafts instruction is provided for all levels, from beginner to advanced artists, including painting, drawing, sewing, ceramics, jewelry, and wood shop.
• Land Sports includes tennis, archery, basketball, volleyball, softball, soccer, lacrosse, and hockey. Classes are open to all ages and abilities.
• Out of Camp Field Trips is voluntary and may require certain qualifications such as age or swimming ability. Past trips have included going to a NY Yankees game, petting zoo, horse show, and state fair, among other events.

Dates and Rates

Tuition is set by the number of sessions for which each camper registers. An additional fee applies for the equestrian program.

Brother Camp – Camp Shohola

Brother camp, Camp Shohola for Boys, is located in Greeley, Pennsylvania, approximately 14 miles from Camp Netimus. The two separate camps come together from time to time for joint activities such as dances, co-ed field trips and tournaments. Campers who have a brother at Camp Shohola will also enjoy bi-weekly brother-sister visits.
