A private, independent day school for children from age 2 through 12 (6th grade). Kingsley Montessori School strives to help each child achieve academic excellence, master learning skills, develop greater imagination, and establish strong self-esteem. Employing the Montessori method of teaching, Kingsley emphasizes integrity, responsibility, respect for others and community leadership. Children may enroll as early as age 2 and have the opportunity to remain enrolled until age 12.
The School’s early childhood education offers toddler, preschool and kindergarten entry programs. Students experiment, discover and learn in a safe and challenging environment. They develop independence and respect for others.
Schedule and Hours
Classes are held five days each week. There are half-day and full-day options for toddlers and preschool children:
- Morning (8:15am – 11:45am)
- Afternoon (1:00pm – 3:30pm)
- Extended day class (8:15am – 2:45pm)
Children aged 4+ may enroll in extended care until 6:00pm.
Locations
The early childhood program is conducted at the school’s facility at 30 Fairfield in Boston. The Elementary School is located one city block away at 26 Exeter Street in Boston.
Admissions
Families interested in applying to Kingsley can contact the school to learn more about the admissions process. Admittance requires parents to complete a school tour, application and visit, which are followed by an application supplement and child visit. Additional items may include completing a student evaluation form, providing student records and applying for financial aid.
