Belmont Hill Summer School welcomes co-ed students in grades 6-12 to explore new subjects, hone skills, and gain valuable academic experience from expert faculty. Whether it is a six-week credit course or a three-week academic workshop, the curriculum is designed to position students for success in their upcoming school year.
The school offers diverse course offerings in Math, Science, Technology, English, SAT prep, Arts and Sports as well as flexible scheduling options during June through August. In addition to credit courses, the school offers intensive classes that will introduce students to a particular subject and help prepare them for their studies in the fall.
Credit Courses
Summer credit courses enable students to move to a more advanced level. The classes meet for two to three hours daily over six weeks, covering a full year of a standard high school curriculum in a fast-paced setting. Grades are emailed home at midterm and at the end of the summer session. Belmont Hill does not award academic credit, but will send a transcript to the student’s school upon request.
Sample courses include: Algebra, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Pre-Calculus. Each course is selected separately, allowing families to create a schedule that works best for them.
SAT Test Prep
Comprehensive prep courses for both the English and Math portions of the SAT team exam are taught by faculty with decades of SAT experience. Students will receive guidance on question types and strategy, daily problem solving, and time practice sessions.
Lunch
Students can buy food and drinks at the school snack bar.
